Getting Started

Who is Misty Meadow Ragdoll Cattery?

Misty Meadow Ragdoll Cattery raises Ragdoll kittens in a loving home environment with a focus on health, temperament, and lifelong support. Our motto is simple: raised with love, bred for excellence. Learn more on our About Us page.

Where should I start on the website?

If you want a kitten now, begin with Available Kittens. If nothing matches yet ? or you prefer a future litter ? visit the Waitlist. For fees, steps, and paperwork, see the Adoption Process. Health questions are covered on Health & Care.

Do I need an account to use the site?

No. You can browse kittens, read our blog, and submit applications or inquiries without creating an account. Forms on this site send your information to us for review.

How do I contact you?

Use our Contact form, or follow us on social media, including TikTok. We typically respond within 1–2 business days.

Available Kittens

How do I see which kittens are available?

Visit Available Kittens. You can filter by All, Available, or Reserved. Each card shows the kitten?s name, color/pattern, sex, born and ready dates, and status.

What happens when I click on a kitten?

You open that kitten?s full detail page with photo, description, age/timing, eyes, temperament, price, and health & care information (vaccinations, deworming, vet check, litter training, and socialization).

Can I inquire about an Available kitten?

Yes. On an Available kitten?s detail page you will see an Inquire button and form. Submit it to tell us about your home and interest in that specific kitten. An inquiry does not automatically reserve the kitten.

Why is there no inquire button on a Reserved kitten?

Reserved kittens are already spoken for, so new inquiries are closed for that kitten. You can browse other Available kittens or join the Waitlist for a future match.

What does ?Ready? mean on a kitten listing?

Ready is the approximate timeframe when the kitten is expected to be old enough and prepared to go home (typically around 12?14 weeks of age), after health care and socialization milestones are met.

Are kitten photos and details kept up to date?

Yes ? listings and statuses are updated as kittens become available, reserved, or placed. Always check the current status on the kitten?s detail page before applying.

Pricing & Fees

How much do your kittens cost?

As of 2025, all Misty Meadow Ragdoll Cattery kittens are priced at $1,200 per kitten. That adoption price includes the care and preparation provided before your kitten joins your family.

What is the difference between the waitlist fee and the reservation fee?

Waitlist ($500): for future litters only ? that is all you pay to join, and it is credited toward the $1,200.
Reservation ($800): for a specific Available kitten after approval ? refundable if you withdraw before go-home, and credited toward the $1,200.

If I reserve an Available kitten, what do I pay?

Kitten price is $1,200. After approval, a $800 reservation fee holds your kitten and is credited toward the total. The remaining balance is typically $400, due according to the agreed schedule before go-home. Full details: Adoption Process.

If I join the waitlist, what do I pay?

You pay a $500 waitlist fee ? that is all to join. The $500 is part of the $1,200 kitten price and is credited when you adopt. See the Waitlist page.

Do fees stack if I was on the waitlist and then reserve?

When an adoption proceeds from the waitlist path, the $500 waitlist fee is credited toward the $1,200. Additional reservation/balance amounts follow the payment schedule we provide when a kitten is matched. We will confirm the exact remaining balance before you reserve.

Adoption Process (Available Kittens)

How do I reserve a kitten that is available now?

You do not need the waitlist. Browse Available Kittens, then submit a reservation application on our Adoption Process page. After approval, a $800 reservation fee holds your kitten.

What is in the adoption application?

We ask about your name, contact details, location, kitten preference, and your home/lifestyle experience with cats. Applications are carefully reviewed before a family is accepted.

Does submitting an application guarantee a kitten?

No. Applications are reviewed for the best match for each kitten?s wellbeing. Approval and a paid reservation are required before a kitten is held for you.

When can kittens go to their new homes?

Our kittens typically leave at 12?14 weeks of age, after vaccinations, deworming, a veterinary health check, and thorough socialization. The kitten will not leave Misty Meadow until the purchase price is paid in full and all required documents are completed and signed.

What documents do I need to sign?

To hold an available kitten, review the Reservation Agreement ($800). At go-home, sign the Adoption Contract for the $1,200 purchase. Future-litter families use the Waitlist Agreement. Each document can be filled in on the site, then downloaded or printed as a PDF.

Waitlist (Future Litters)

Can I join a waitlist for a future litter?

Yes. The waitlist is for future litters (or when nothing available matches you yet). Join on our Waitlist page with the $500 waitlist fee. It does not guarantee a particular kitten, color, pattern, sex, or delivery date.

Do I need the waitlist to get an Available kitten?

No. If a kitten is Available today, use the Adoption Process / reservation path instead of the waitlist.

What happens after I join the waitlist?

We review your information, confirm your place, and contact you when a future litter is planned and a good match may be available. Photos and details are shared as kittens grow. When you accept a match, we guide you through reservation and go-home steps.

Can I leave the waitlist?

Yes. If you decide you are no longer interested, contact us. The $500 waitlist fee is refundable if you withdraw before a kitten has been reserved/matched for you, per our waitlist refund policy.

Refunds & Policies

What is your refund policy?

Waitlist: the $500 fee is refundable if you withdraw before a kitten is reserved/matched for you.
Reservation: the $800 fee is refundable if you withdraw before the kitten goes home.
After adoption: all sales are final ? there are no refunds after the kitten is transferred, including for change of mind, allergies, housing issues, or lifestyle changes.

Details: Waitlist and Adoption Process ? Refund Policy.

Does a health guarantee mean I can get a refund?

Any applicable health guarantee or veterinary requirements are governed exclusively by the signed Adoption Agreement and do not create a general right to a refund after adoption. Read the agreement carefully before signing.

Where is your privacy policy?

See our Privacy Policy for how we collect and use information from contact and adoption forms. We do not sell your personal information. Website rules are in our Terms of Service. Downloadable agreements: Adoption Contract, Reservation Agreement, and Waitlist Agreement.

Health & Care

Are your cats genetically health tested?

Yes. Our breeding cats are tested for 40+ genetic health conditions (including HCM and PKD), plus FeLV, FIV, blood type, traits, and genetic diversity. Read more on Health & Care.

What veterinary care do kittens receive before going home?

Each kitten receives age-appropriate FVRCP vaccines and dewormings, a full physical exam by a licensed veterinarian, a microchip, and spay/neuter. Families receive veterinary health records at placement. Full overview: Health & Care.

What is included when I bring my kitten home?

Typically: a healthy, well-socialized kitten; veterinary health records; vaccination and deworming documentation as applicable; feeding and care information; litter-training guidance; written adoption agreement; applicable registration/pedigree documentation; transition guidance; and continued support from Misty Meadow. See what?s included and Health & Care ? Go-Home.

Do you offer a health guarantee?

Yes. Kittens come with a 1-year genetic health guarantee. Specific terms are in the signed Adoption Agreement. We also encourage establishing care with your own veterinarian soon after go-home day.

Do you offer lifetime support?

Absolutely. We stay available for guidance on nutrition, litter habits, grooming, introductions, settling-in behavior, and general care for the life of your Misty Meadow Ragdoll Cattery.

What food should I feed my new kitten?

We send feeding guidance and information about the diet your kitten is currently eating. Keeping food consistent for the first days home helps the transition. If you change foods later, do so gradually ? we?re happy to advise.

Living With a Ragdoll

Are your kittens indoor-only?

Yes. We place our Ragdolls as indoor-only companions for their safety and wellbeing. They thrive as devoted indoor family members.

Are Ragdolls good with children and other pets?

Ragdolls are known for gentle, people-oriented temperaments. Our kittens are socialized in a home setting. We still ask families to introduce children and other pets slowly and safely, and we can offer guidance for those first meetings.

How should I prepare my home?

Prepare a quiet room with food, water, a litter box, and a cozy bed. Keep early days calm, stick to the starter diet, and introduce the rest of the home gradually. Our Blog and adoption guidance include practical settling-in tips.

Do you ship or deliver kittens?

Yes. We offer airline shipping, professional flight nanny delivery, airport pickup, local meet-up, and specialized ground service. Safety and stress-free travel for the kitten always come first. See our Shipping Process page for details, pricing ranges, and arrival procedures.
