Families may receive their Misty Meadow kitten by flight nanny, airline shipping, specialized ground service, airport pickup, or a local meet-up.
Flight Nanny Delivery
$155 – $250
The majority of our kittens are delivered out of state using professional flight nannies. The flight nanny travels safely in-cabin with the kitten and will hand-deliver your kitten to your nearest airport directly into your arms. Professional flight nanny service starts at $155–$250 and will be arranged directly between you and the transportation company. I will refer you to our preferred, trusted companies.
Specialized Ground Service
Varies by distance
You also have the option of having your kitten delivered by van right to your doorstep using a pet transport service that delivers to all destinations in the continental U.K. Cost for this service varies by distance and location. This is the most expensive of the two ways to get your kitten delivered by carrier.
Ocala International Airport Pickup
Complimentary
If you live out of state and you want to come pick up, you can fly to us to pick up your kitten in person from me at Ocala International Airport. I love meeting my adopters and I would be happy to drive your kitten to the airport — a 2-hour round-trip for me, free of charge — or come directly to the cattery.
Local Pickup
In-state & nearby
If you live in our state or nearby, I can meet you in person for kitten pickup. Unless other arrangements are made, I will meet you at the PetSmart nearest our home. If you are local, please keep in mind that we offer cattery visiting hours by appointment.

Our homeowner’s insurance does not cover in-home cattery visits, and we try to reduce the risk of infectious disease transmission to our cats and kittens as much as possible. Thank you for being respectful of this decision.

Each kitten’s well-being during transit is of paramount importance. To guarantee their comfort, we meticulously prepare for their journey. We attach detailed feeding instructions to the crate’s top and provide frozen water that gradually thaws, ensuring the kitten stays hydrated and nourished throughout the journey. The average flight duration is typically between 4 and 7 hours.
We maintain constant communication with the airlines, tracking the exact flight schedules and any potential delays or layovers. This enables us to keep you informed about your kitten’s whereabouts and ensure a smooth arrival on the same day as their departure, usually within a few hours.
Inside the crate, we create a cozy environment with a fluffy bed of shredded newspapers, along with comforting items like a pig’s ear chew (a favorite among kittens) and a toy or sock carrying our scent, designed to provide reassurance and security during their travel.

Before & After Travel
Health Certificate and Arrival Procedures
Ensuring the health and safety of our kittens during transit is of utmost importance. All pets traveling via air require a health certificate to comply with airline regulations. This certificate is mandatory and serves to guarantee that each pet travels in an environment free from any health concerns, ensuring a safe journey for your new companion.
Upon your kitten’s arrival, we kindly request your presence either at home or the airport at the specified time. Typically, your kitten becomes available for pick-up approximately one hour after the scheduled flight arrival. To collect your kitten, a valid ID such as a driver’s license is necessary.
We greatly appreciate your confirmation of your kitten’s safe arrival at their new home. Kindly notify us via call or email once your kitten is in your care. Additionally, within 48 hours of arrival, we strongly advise scheduling a health check-up for your kitten with your veterinarian. This standard practice ensures the well-being of your new family member and helps in their seamless transition.
To guarantee your satisfaction and address any queries, we initiate a follow-up call 24 hours after your kitten’s arrival. This call serves to ensure that everything is in perfect order, to answer any questions you might have, and to measure your overall satisfaction with your new kitten’s well-being.
